SECTION 1 — DESIGN-FIRST AESTHETICS™

Design is not a suggestion. It is the law.

  • All trades follow the CM BUILT Aesthetic Cohesion Standard™
  • Every finish must align with the approved design palette
  • All lines, edges, planes, and transitions must be clean, straight, and intentional
  • Material-to-material transitions must be elegant and seamless
  • If it looks wrong, it is wrong — and it must be corrected

SECTION 2 — STRUCTURAL PRECISION™

Great projects begin with perfect foundations.

  • Walls plumb to ⅛” over 8 feet
  • Floors flat to 1/8″ over 10 feet for tile areas
  • Perfectly squared shower framing
  • Reinforced blocking for niches, glass, and fixtures
  • Door and window rough openings accurate within 1/16″


Before we allow any trade to begin, your project must pass our Structural Prep Checklist.


SECTION 3 — WATERPROOFING & SHOWER SYSTEMS

Luxury showers fail when waterproofing fails. We don’t allow failure.

  • Mandatory 24-hour flood test
  • ¼” per foot pan slope — verified by level
  • No punctures allowed in the waterproofing zone
  • Approved systems only (Schluter, Wedi, HydroBan, etc.)
  • Waterproofing must pass visual + moisture inspection

SECTION 4 — TILE EXECUTION STANDARD™

Tile work is art — and it must be precise.

  • Perfect alignment with layout plan
  • Grout joints consistent within 1/32″
  • 0 to minimal allowable lippage
  • Tile must terminate cleanly with Schluter or clean edges
  • Shower niches aligned with grout lines
  • Large-format tile installation with proper substrate prep

SECTION 5 — FLOORING PREPARATION

Luxury flooring requires perfection underneath.

  • Substrate moisture levels logged before installation
  • Entire floor checked with 10-foot straightedge
  • Float, grind, or level as needed
  • Transitions must be smooth and cohesive
  • Expansions, reducers, and trims must match design palette

SECTION 6 — DOORS & WINDOWS

Premium installations require premium preparation.

  • Rough openings laser verified
  • Multi-slide doors installed perfectly level
  • Weatherproofing and flashing according to manufacturer specs
  • All reveals consistent
  • Glass and hardware aligned with design symmetry

SECTION 7 — DRYWALL & PAINT

Your walls and ceilings become the canvas of the home.

  • Level-5 finish available
  • Zero texture inconsistency
  • Crisp corners, clean lines
  • Paint sheens consistent across rooms
  • Perfect cut lines and transitions

SECTION 8 — ELECTRICAL & LIGHTING AESTHETICS

Lighting must match architecture — not old layouts.

  • Fixtures centered on design features
  • Outlets aligned and level
  • Smart home options available
  • Recessed lights placed intentionally, not randomly
  • Switch logic based on modern flow

SECTION 9 — PLUMBING EXECUTION

Function meets aesthetics.

  • Fixtures must align with tile, vanities, mirrors
  • Perfect drain alignment
  • Water heater + softener installs clean, labeled, serviceable
  • Shower valves placed at ergonomic height
